Fumes Avant takes a familiar classic and pushes it directly into the future. We approached the legendary 1988 composition as if it were being built today, utilising ingredients which simply did not  exist in the late eighties when Fahrenheit was developed. 
We set out to reinvent the vintage DNA, stripping it down to its core and rebuilding it as an avant garde masterpiece using modern extractions, exclusive captive molecules, and contemporary aromatics.
While Fumes Avant represents a distinctly fresher, modern take, absolutely no quarter has been given on its formidable foundation. The key defining notes of gasoline and leather are formulated every bit as high as they are in our uncompromising Fumes Ultime. What sets this composition apart is the cleaner, fresher, and intensely muskier profile driving the dry down. Thanks to the absolute forefront of modern ingredient development and biotechnology, we can now harness high-purity, high-impact molecules that introduce entirely novel olfactory dimensions.
We evolved the base musks, supplementing the traditional Galaxolide of the original with rich Ambergris and Ambrox notes that drive up from the base in perfect harmony with the fresher heart. This dynamic completely recontextualizes the familiar Fahrenheit leather base, allowing it to entertain the striking wonders of Ambroxan. If you appreciate how beautifully these notes play in Creed Aventus, this synergy will immediately make sense to you. In fact, the structural bases of both Vintage Aventus and Vintage Fahrenheit share several identical ingredients. This modern Ambergris profile delivers woody, salty, and mineral facets with 'skin like' qualities that carry complex secondary musky and powdery undertones.
That legendary biting gasoline note was completely non negotiable. Rather than just preserving it, we doubled down and actually added to the gasoline notes. We pushed the untamed aggression of the original further into the territory of a high octane petroleum refinery. By supplementing the core with Blackberry Thiophenone and Buchu Oil Extra from the masters at Payan Bertrand, we injected an even more volatile punchy vapor characteristic. We introduced Chamomile Ester, a former Givaudan captive molecule displaying both fruity and herbal notes to add a new dimension. To give this gasoline accord an entirely new structural robustness, we integrated a formidable array of biting Petitgrains, ensuring that the vast new palette of ingredients were kept in line with the homage to the refinery! 
From the opening, Fumes Avant steers into entirely new territory. We introduced trending modern aromatics, pairing the sharp, effervescent bite of Ginger Oil Fresh Cote d'Ivoire with an expansive citrus profile. We utilized Grapefruit and Yuzu, backed by Zestenone, a key citrus fraction, and heavily relied on folded citruses prized specifically for pushing extreme longevity into the deep heart notes.
The floral part of Fahrenheit was added to and it retains its definitive fiery edge but expands in complexity. We introduced a premium Iris to support the core in trace amounts  alongside Elderflower Absolute, Gardenia and our founder's favorite natural, Raspberry Rose, which dramatically amplifies and volumeized the atomic violet signature.
We then built an entirely new architectural foundation. We introduced a highly specific grade of Ambroxan chosen explicitly for its marine and aquatic facets, bolstering the marine accords further with Ultrazur. To contrast this, we anchored subtle tropical accords using Boronia Absolute and the newly released IFF captive molecule, Tropicalia which has faint mint note in its odor profile. 
Finally, the dry down grounds the composition with that fierce specialised leather base. We utilized Galbanol, a precise fraction of Galbanum oil, to add extra green woody bite to anchor the gasoline and leather notes. We rounded out the base with Cistus Green Absolute, an extraction famed for its role in Vintage Ralph Lauren Polo, ensuring the modern power of Fumes Avant finishes with a definitive nod to the heavyweights of the past.
