To celebrate our tenth anniversary, we developed Bleu Ultime X, a fragrance that honors the sophisticated DNA of the Bleu lineage while fundamentally breaking the mold. Unlike typical Bleu compositions, this is a top to base citrus fragrance. Although the formula is weighted with heavy hitting woods, dense musks, and a prestigious floral heart, the citruses remain incredibly robust. These elements do not merely sit on top or barely bleed into the heart for half an hour like the industry’s juxtaposition; they are formulated with such depth that they shine brilliantly throughout the entire life of the fragrance.
 
​While even the finest niche EDPs typically lose their citrus zest within the hour, Bleu Ultime X maintains a vibrant profile by utilizing specialized base citrus molecules and seven exclusive captives. To ensure this experience is far from a linear, generic citrus, our perfumer utilized the recently released captive molecule Tropicalia by IFF as just one of many tropical elements. By blending Boronia Absolute, Mimosa Absolute, Apple, Lychee, and Pineapple with Black Spruce, Buchu oil, Ylang 1st Fraction, Sclareolate, and Auriculatum Jasmine, the citrus exhibits a complex tropical nuance. These ingredients, married with specialized Ionones, allow the citrus to transcend the ordinary.
 
​This unreplicable formula spans five pages and over 230 ingredients, born from a total refusal to let budgets or cost restrictions curb our vision of an all day summer. The olfactory profile delivers a perpetual freshness, integrating folded citruses into a complex architectural web of molecules to provide a concentrated depth that resists evaporation. Most notably, the Grapefruit captives and bases have been selected for their unprecedented substantivity, outlasting all other citrus components to ensure the signature fresh zest remains present until the very end of the dry down. This persistent vitality is bolstered by a particular grade of Ambroxan specifically chosen for its highly diffusive sweet, salty marine aura, and an immense palette of naturals including twenty distinct oils on the first page of the formula alone.
 
​For this anniversary edition, our sourcing was uncompromising. Our perfumer selected the most prized naturals the industry has to offer, curated from the world’s most prestigious producers:

​The inclusion of both Payan Bertrand and Golgemma Geraniums was a deliberate choice. Because the citrus is so incredibly substantive, we required two distinct varieties of Geranium oil to anchor such a powerful fresh profile. Our understanding of the industry's finest offerings led us to integrate these specific extracts; while the Golgemma variety presents its aromatic fresh window from the very first moment, the Payan Bertrand oil exhibits its freshness in the mid life of the odor profile. By bridging these two varieties, we ensure the heart remains vibrant and multi dimensional, perfectly supporting the citrus at every stage.
 
​Because the formulation is so plentiful, the base is anchored by substantial amounts of Vetiver oil, Cedarwood oil, and the Goliath sandalwood aromachemical Javanol Super. These are further turbocharged by Dextro varieties of musks where the concentration is so potent that mere trace elements have a massive impact. These are joined by the discontinued musk Oxalide, the rare Orris Pallida (the same prized variety selected by Dior for the most recent Dior Homme), and an ozonic and balsamic backbone of Sea Salt Accords, Juniper, and Cistus Green Absolute. Even as these powerful elements emerge, the Grapefruit remains the heartbeat of the fragrance, a testament to a decade of expertise and a refusal to let the summer fade.
