The 10th Anniversary Hybrid Evolution.
Revisiting a composition as complex as Emperor’s Sunset was a challenge our founder and perfumer felt was essential for the tenth anniversary range.
Originally released in 2022, Emperors Sunset is a hybrid bridging the iconic profiles of Aventus and Baccarat Rouge 540, but with a touch more of our signature pineapple.
The profile was designed for a seamless transition: the signature Aventus accord leads from the opening into the heart, where it gradually gives way to the warm, airy musk like woody ambers of Baccarat Rouge 540 from the mid to the base.
Achieving this balance required hundreds of manual trials to ensure the candy sweetness of the BR540 accord didn't overwhelm the more delicate citrus notes of the opening. By utilizing a significant volume of natural citruses, we ensured the Aventus DNA shines with absolute clarity before the Baccarat Rouge 540 sweetness takes hold.
A key challenge was selecting base ingredients that offer the signature Baccarat Rouge 540 sweetness without influencing the very specific Aventus opening. Our perfumer turned to captive molecules for their high impact to anchor the mid-to-base notes, maintaining a perfect transition.
For this Tenth Anniversary Limited Edition, we have pushed the boundaries even further:
Enhanced Clarity: Sourcing newly released, high-impact molecules to provide a more defined pineapple note.
Added Dimension:
The formulation now includes subtle Anise notes, specifically chosen to bolster and prolong the Aventus aspect of the hybrid.
Artisanal Precision:
A decade of blending expertise distilled into a clearer, richer, and more refined composition.
